Graphic Design Firm Turned Technical Publication Specialists
Infographics® began in 1995 as Hopps Communications, a graphic design firm
specializing in illustration. It was founded on our personal experiences as
consumers, product developers, and communications professionals who
consistently found technical product communications inadequate and
confusing. Data from our research confirmed more people understand concise,
image based instructional or educational material than text-heavy collateral
materials and engineering based images.
Early clients including Rubbermaid, Moen Faucet, and Sea Ray applied our
visually based communications tools and saw decreases in technical support
and customer service calls as well as fewer product returns. As our client
base and services expanded, we became synonymous with the term often used
for the communications tools we develop. In 2005 – 10 years after we began –
Infographics® became the primary name under which the company operates.
Infographics are visual representations of information, data, or knowledge.
We expertly apply these graphics anywhere information needs to be explained
quickly or simply, such as in instructions, signs, maps, journalism,
technical writing, and education or training.
We advance technical publishing and illustration.
infographics has the equipment, software, and the talent it takes to leverage your engineering data and use it to develop user-friendly instructions. We can manipulate, illustrate, and animate using data from numerous CAD applications, including AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, Rhino, and others. Our ability to seamlessly integrate documentation services into your development process can speed and enhance even the most critical product launch.

Whether illustration or publishing, we prefer the hands-on approach.
Our facilities include what we like to call the "lab" which is where we assemble, install, disassemble, tinker, and generally saturate ourselves with product knowledge in order to really understand how things work before we develop instructions.
